You don't have to see it yet to believe that the Lord is moving on your behalf. You don't need a warm, fuzzy feeling, and there may not be a goose bump in sight, because the middle of the journey rarely looks like the final destination.
Sometimes you just have to walk through it to get to the other side. And you may have to remind yourself along the way that there were not three in the fire, but four.
Here’s the truth that they don’t usually tell you…
Faith is a choice, and it isn’t always easy and doesn’t always feel comfortable.
In this life, storms are going to come, and waves are going to crash. Just keep holding on.
As long as Jesus is in the boat with you, you’ll make it to shore. Your feet will stand on dry land again.
In the meantime, while the rain is beating down, you must choose to trust the One whom the wind and waves obey.
You have to choose to dig deep and believe that the Lord really is working everything out for your good. No matter what it looks like right now, He can use it, and nothing will be wasted.
I realize this isn’t easy, especially when you’re in the middle of a trial. But if only you could see your situation from a heavenly perspective, you would understand.
Unfortunately, we were never meant to understand everything because the Lord’s ways are higher than ours. And we were never promised that struggles wouldn’t come our way.
As a matter of fact, Jesus said that we would face troubles in this world, but to take heart because He has overcome them.
I want to encourage you today to keep holding on and choose to have faith.
Don’t give up just because things don’t look how you hoped, or the Lord isn’t moving exactly how you expected. He rarely does.
If it’s healing you need, choose to keep pushing through the crowd to touch the hem of His garment.
If it’s financial security you need, choose to set your heart with the intention to go collect every jar you can find, just so that the Lord can fill it.
If it’s the ability to stand during the impossible, choose to step out of the boat with your eyes on Jesus and watch your feet walk above water.
Because faith is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not yet see.
Your story isn’t over; it’s still being written.
So keep going and choose faith.
Because the fire refines, the storm rebuilds you into the unshakable, and the rain purifies.
Choose to trust in the One who will never leave you or forsake you, the One who stands in the fire with you, is the calm during the storm, and who provides a boat during a flood.
He’s got you. Choose to trust Him through it, and just watch where you’ll end up.

“Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!” Then Nebuchadnezzar came as close as he could to the door of the flaming furnace and shouted: “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stepped out of the fire. Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke!
Daniel 3:25
“Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors. Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.” So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another. Soon every container was full to the brim! “Bring me another jar,” she said to one of her sons. “There aren’t any more!” he told her. And then the olive oil stopped flowing. When she told the man of God what had happened, he said to her, “Now sell the olive oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on what is left over.”
2 Kings 4:3–7
But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” Then Peter called to him, “Lord, if it’s really you, tell me to come to you, walking on the water.” “Yes, come,” Jesus said. So Peter went over the side of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.
Matthew 14:28–29
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
