If you've lived in survival mode for a long time, stillness can feel unfamiliar and even uncomfortable at first.
I spent some time by the water today, just sitting and listening to the waves.
Years ago, I would not have known how to do this. When life has been loud and demanding, quiet can feel strange at first. Your nervous system becomes used to pressure, urgency, and constant movement.
But slowly, you relearn yourself.
You start noticing what settles you.
What brings you joy.
What allows your body to finally exhale.
You do not need a beach to do that.
A quiet walk.
A cup of tea in silence.
Ten minutes without your phone.
These small moments matter more than women realize.
If life has felt overwhelming for a while, give yourself permission to start getting to know yourself again.
Peace often begins there.
If you are ready for a steadier, more peaceful way of living, this is some of the work I do with women in faith-based health and wellness coaching.
