The mind is a battlefield. Be aware of your thoughts because they lead to actions and control your behavior, which becomes who you are. You do not have to believe or entertain every thought that goes through your mind. If you are consumed with negative, anxious thoughts, they may not even be your own and be spiritual warfare. The enemy is relentless and knows if he can have your mind, everything else will follow. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the origin of troublesome thoughts. The devil is a liar and if he is whispering in your ear, tell him to shut his mouth in the mighty name of Jesus and take your thoughts captive to make them obedient to Christ! You do not have to live in torment if you have Jesus because who the Son sets free, he is free indeed. PRAY, ARMOR UP, WORSHIP, and RENEW your mind with the Living Word of God! Read the Bible and memorize scripture. It will give you discernment and is your greatest weapon in battle. Focus on God and heavenly things, which brings the joy of the Lord. Worship always puts life back into perspective and reminds us of what an awesome God we serve who is in control and fights for us. A sound mind is a gift from the Lord and part of your heritage in Christ through salvation.Â
