You Must Get Your Own Oil

You Must Get Your Own Oil

You must seek the Lord for yourself. Run after Jesus and be authentic to who He has called you to be. Spend time in the secret place, and if you lack wisdom, revelation, or discernment, He will provide abundantly. Sit in the Refiner's fire and allow the Potter's hands to mold you.
The oil comes from the crushing, and no amount of spectating of others or imitation will ever suffice. Oil cannot be obtained by stealing, begging, or borrowing. You must acquire your own, and there is no way to fake, skip, or cheapen the process. You must submit yourself before the Lord and choose to walk through it.
If Jesus himself were pressed, do you not believe you will be also? You see, the Greek translation of the word Gethsemane literally means OIL PRESS. Jesus entered into that garden heavy and full of sorrow, asking that the cup be removed but chose the will of His Father.
Consecrate yourselves and be like the five wise virgins with their lamps full of oil. Be true to who God has called you to be and choose to give Him your all. Jesus is worth whatever it may cost you because He is worth being sold out for. Time is short. You must get your own oil!

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept. “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
II Corinthians‬ ‭9:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you.
II Corinthians‬ ‭4:8‭-‬12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
