The Lord showed me a vision I would like to share with you. Imagine for a moment that God Almighty, Creator of the universe, had a wealthy kitchen full of every serving and cooking utensil you can think of. As far as the eye could see, there were white marble countertops with intricate vases and containers full of assorted utensils. God, The Master Chef, had wooden spoons and forks of clay in every size and shape. There were metal spatulas with holes; some bent and others dull from use. These common utensils were placed on the countertop for everyday use but were not unique. I saw the Lord reach His mighty hand into a hidden drawer and take out serving ware perfectly wrapped and preserved in a crisp white linen cloth. I watched as He carefully unwrapped the cloth and revealed the most beautifully purified shiny silver and gold serving ware I had ever seen. Then the Lord carried it across the kitchen to an extraordinary table. It was set for the King of Kings and adorned with luxurious white linens, flowers, and the most delectable foods. He meticulously placed each gold and silver serving spoon in perfect position for the wedding feast.
Many of you diligently seeking the Lord and trying to live a life of righteousness are feeling different. I'm here to tell you that being different is a blessing. The Lord has set you apart and is purifying your heart to prepare you for a mighty work, a unique, honorable assignment. Because you seek His face, He has hidden you in the secret place of prayer and worship where He is restoring your soul. He gently leads you to your post, where He will reveal your assignment. Keep pressing into Him. Keep trusting His plan and standing for truth. It will be miraculous.

But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.” In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.
