Bloodline curses and the familiar spirits connected to them matter. Obedience to Almighty God matters, too. Think about this...
WHAT IF the same demonic bloodline spirits attached to the Amalekites, the ones God instructed Saul to kill but he disobeyed and didn't because he feared man more than he feared God, and they are the descendants of Haman? Remember Haman? Haman was an Amalekite descendant who planned to kill the Jews during Queen Esther's reign. Many believe Haman's descendants currently reside in Persia. Where is Persia? It's located in Iran. Who is at war with Israel? Iran... There is nothing new under the sun.
You don't have to fully agree with this to understand the moral of this story. We must obey the Lord at all costs, for it is better than sacrifice. We must not be moved by the opinions of man or fear them. Our only concern should be the opinion of Almighty God. Prophesy will be fulfilled, and these spiritual principalities have been at this for centuries. If you want to know how it ends, just read the back of the book. We are living out Revelation.

When Haman saw that Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor, he was enraged. Yet, having learned who Mordecai’s people were, he scorned the idea of killing only Mordecai. Instead Haman looked for a way to destroy all Mordecai’s people, the Jews, throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.
Esther 3:5-6
Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.
Samuel 15:3
And he sent you on a mission, saying, ‘Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; wage war against them until you have wiped them out.’ Why did you not obey the Lord? Why did you pounce on the plunder and do evil in the eyes of the Lord?”
But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. For rebellion is like the sin of divination, and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you as king.” Then Saul said to Samuel, “I have sinned. I violated the Lord’s command and your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I gave in to them.
1 Samuel 15:18-19, 22-24
But Samuel said to him, “I will not go back with you. You have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you as king over Israel!” As Samuel turned to leave, Saul caught hold of the hem of his robe, and it tore.
