I feel a stirring in the spirit. I hear the Lord calling, calling you up higher. Won't you come? Won't you head the call? I hear Him calling us to come up higher to take our position and man our post at the watchtower. Though the steps are many, He goes before us and takes our hand, guiding us up each one. Regardless of our fleshly insecurities and no matter how uncomfortable, we must obey the call by leaving every worldly desire behind. The Lord longs to show us things we have not yet known. As we answer the call in faith and obedience, He will open our spiritual eyes to heavenly beauty and the dangers that lurk, so we may encourage and warn His people. He will give us eyes to see and ears to hear. He alone will give us accurate vision to spot every hidden fox in the vineyard and serpent in the fields, so that we may sound the alarm. For we serve a matchless God who has called us as warriors to the front lines, as watchmen on the wall. He is our rock, our fortress, and where our help comes from. He shines a light in the darkness, vanquishes our enemies, and silences the proud. He will give us the pleasure of seeing those that fight for us. For there are more for us than against us. As the angels of the Lord encamp around us, they come with swords of fire drawn to defeat our oppressors. "Oh, won't you come up higher," says the Lord. The assignment is great but the anointing is greater, for it is what breaks the yoke. He is waiting and trusting you with His people. Won't you come up higher and man your post? Time is short and He is calling.
